As a result of the COVID 19 Pandemic and in an abundance of caution, the 2020 Summer ASU Performing Arts Camps are hereby postponed. All camp activities will resume in Summer 2021.
The camps are designed to introduce students
to self-control, self-worth, self-affirmation
and the creative process.
Through the use of the arts, TAPS or Theatre Artist Performing School offers techniques in personal development, acting, singing and dancing.
Camp 3T or Teaching Through Theater utilizes theater arts as a vehicle to curtail the rising drop
out rate as well as address college readiness. TTI or Technical Theater Initiative uses the practical side of theater to focus on technical career training and trade skills that qualifies one for the world of work. GIFTED or Giving Individuals Freedom to Express Diversity is a program specifically designed for persons with disabilities to participate in the arts.
These programs offer classes in acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, therapeutic arts, modeling, professionalism, public speaking and oral interpretation.
“This program was very beneficial to my children and they love the TAPS Program.” Delcelia S.
“My daughter was very shy and now she is coming out of her shell. Wish I had discovered TAPS sooner, but she will definitely come to Camp 3T.” Shonda S.
“You all do such a wonderful job with the children in such a short time. I am impressed.” Paulette M.
"What other program is simultaneously building children's self esteem, teaching them discipline, instilling life lessons, and providing an outlet for their creativity...none that I know of." V. Vaden
